Bernanke report to Congress on rates set for July 15-16

WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) — Federal Reserve chief Ben Bernanke will go before Congress on July 15 and 16th to discuss the outlook for the economy and monetary policy. Bernanke will appear before the Senate Banking panel on the first day of his testimony and then answer questions before the House Financial Services panel on the following day, the two committees announced Tuesday. Bernanke is testifying on Thursday on the role of regulators in the financial market turmoil and what reform is needed in the wake of the crisis.
